Farewell Gathering for Father Melvin Pinto and Father Sunil D’Souza
August 17, 2026

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Farewell Gathering for Father Melvin Pinto and Father Sunil D’Souza after the 5pm Mass on Saturday August 15!
We are so grateful for the wonderful turnout as parishioners, friends, and members of our parish community gathered in the Parish Hall to share food, fellowship, memories, and best wishes with our priests.
After seven years as Pastor of St. Aloysius Parish, we will certainly miss Father Melvin Pinto and are deeply grateful for his years of service, leadership, and ministry. We wish him every blessing and much success as he begins this next chapter in his ministry.
We will also miss Father Sunil D’Souza, who has served as our Associate Pastor for the past four years. We thank him for his dedication and care for our parish community and wish him every blessing and success in his future ministry as well.
A special thank you to the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) and to all the parishioners who generously contributed food and helped make the gathering such a warm and memorable occasion. The CWL also presented a Spiritual Bouquet, giving parishioners the opportunity to offer prayers and Masses for Father Melvin and Father Sunil as they begin their new assignments.
It was a beautiful opportunity for our parish family to come together and let both priests know how much they will be missed and how grateful we are for all they have given to our community.
Thank you, Father Melvin and Father Sunil, and may God bless you both in your future ministry!
Stay tuned for the official announcement about our new Pastor and Associate Pastor of St. Aloysius Parish beginning in late August, 2026.
