St. Aloysius Parish is located in Kitchener, Ontario and is one of 126 Parishes in the Diocese of Hamilton. We are also part of the Deanery of Waterloo.
The Parish has grown quite a lot since its humble beginnings in 1953. St. Aloysius Church first began in a seminary chapel known as St. Jerome’s College Chapel. At that time, the church was on the outskirts of Kitchener with fewer than 200 families attending. Today, more than 4000 families and 10,308 Members are part of the busy Parish in the heart of Kitchener.
It was founded by the Congregation of the Resurrection Fathers, next it was under the care of the Diocesan Clergy, and in July 2012, it came under the care of the Order of Discalced Carmelite Fathers. Currently, the Pastor is Melvin Pinto.
Sunday Mass Times are Saturdays at 5 pm and Sundays at 9 am (Interpreted for the deaf), 11 am and 7 pm.
St. Aloysius is one of the largest Parishes in Kitchener-Waterloo and serves 3 Elementary schools; St. Aloysius, St. Kateri and St. Timothy as well as St. Mary’s High School.
The Church also Ministers to 4 Retirement Homes, 3 Hospitals and the Grand Valley Institution for Women. The St. Aloysius Food Pantry serves the community at large through Food Hampers and Emergency food services.
