First Holy Communion
The Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion are for those children in Grades 2 and above during the 2026-2027 School Year and have already been Baptized in the Catholic faith. Our next Sacrament of First Holy Communion will take place in the Spring of 2027. For those who have not already been Baptized in the Catholic Faith, please contact our Parish Office. Registration will open in the Fall of 2026. More information will be posted on this page as it becomes available.
Looking to receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion and your child is not enrolled in a Catholic School? Enroll in the Diocese Correspondence program.
The Diocese of Hamilton offers Catechism Correspondence courses for those not enrolled in a Catholic School. These programs are interactive parent-child programs, designed to assist families in the Diocese of Hamilton whose children are enrolled in public or private schools, are homeschooled, or for other reasons unable to attend Catholic Schools.
There are programs for every age and stage from Kindergarten through to high school including programs specially designed to assist children in preparing for the Sacraments of First Communion and Confirmation.
Their correspondence courses currently reach over 900 children from all over the Diocese — families in the Grey-Bruce, Wellington, Waterloo, Halton and Brant regions as well as in Hamilton.
The Catechesis Office is proud to carry on the important work of the School Sisters of Notre Dame in providing high-quality catechesis for children and their families. Please visit Diocesan Catechetical Correspondence page for more details.
