As we prepare for Advent and the celebration of Christmas, we are reminded of the less fortunate. St. Aloysius Parish has always responded in kind by sharing our blessings, joy, and the meaning of Christmas with those in need.
As the St. Aloysius Parish Christmas Program volunteers prepare to work in your service, they can only do so because of your generous donations to help those households which apply for aid. For our Christmas Food Hampers, they have found it is more beneficial to supply a gift certificate, so applicants can purchase their preferred food items for their Christmas celebration. The Pantry would appreciate monetary donations to assist them with purchasing gift cards.
The Toy Program will continue this year, and all donations of new toys are welcome. The aim is for each child to receive a bundle of toys so they know they haven’t been forgotten, even though there may be financial challenges in the household. Look for the ANGEL BOARD in our church foyer. Angels with a child’s age, gender and toy wish will be pinned to the board. Take an angel home and purchase a toy for your angel. All toys need to be returned to St. Aloysius Church by December 9th to allow for distribution to families. Please ensure toys are unwrapped.
